Natural, grass fed ground beef from Green Hill Dairy in Brooks County, Georgia. It is safer than ground beef from conventional cattle because at Green Hill Dairy, the cows are never fed grain on a feed lot, never given indiscrimate antibiotics, never fed hormones to speed up growth, and never fed animal byproducts which eliminates the possibility of mad cow disease. In fact, there has never been a case of E.coli 0157:H7 contamination or mad cow disease on a natural, grass based farm. The animals live healthy, environmentally sustainable lives out on green pastures. Most ground beef today, whether is traditional, natural or grass-fed is ground up from all of the leftovers after the higher value cuts have been removed. The beef from Green Hill higher quality because it is all of the cuts ground together. Last of all, the ground beef is healthier for you because it is higher in beta carotene, vitamin E, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and omega 3 fatty acids. The ground beef comes in roughly 2 lbs packages and is butchered at a USDA butchering plant in Tifton, Georgia.
